Application Support

Sophion provides the highest level of application support by dedicated and skilled application scientists. Our application scientists are electrophysiologists, molecular biologists, biochemists and cell biologists, and assist our customers with any issues they may have with QPatch assays. All our application scientists have many years of experience in electrophysiology as well as tissue culture and of course QPatch operation.

In order to help you, as our customer, in the best possible way a dedicated application scientist, who knows and understands your ion channel assays, is the primary contact person for all your needs. When the QPatch is first introduced in your laboratory, this application scientist will spend 3-5 days with you, transferring your electrophysiological assays to the QPatch system, and giving you comprehensive training in how to use the QPatch and QPatch Assay Software. This initiates the long-term relationship between you and Sophion, where trust and knowledge sharing are the key factors.

The QPatch applications library is accessible online and provides a broad range of published papers, application reports and posters. The library is available for anyone who has interest in QPatch and ion channel data.

As a QPatch user, you may also download guides, recipes and other technical documents. Simply log in on our website, and these documents will be available for you. We also suggest that you contact your dedicated application scientist when starting a new ion channel target on the QPatch - we may be able to help you reduce your assay setup and validation time.
