QPatch HTX - ENABLING EVEN HIGHER TRUE-GIGASEAL THROUGHPUT

Introducing QPatch HTX - the newest automated patch clamp system from Sophion.  It builds on the QPatch technology already appreciated in the global pharmaceutical industry. The QPatch HTX is a 48-channel patch clamp system that works in both a multi-hole mode, ideal for screening, and single-hole mode, ideal for compound profiling. It can be applied to both voltage- and ligand-gated ion channels.

Upgrades of existing QPatch HT systems to QPatch HTX are available now.

  • Increased throughput with up to 7000 data points per day
  • Screening and compound profiling assays on the same instrument
  • Runs in both multi-hole and single-hole mode
  • For all ligand- and voltage-gated ion channels
  • 8 pipette liquid handling robot with intelligent experiment planning
  • High-quality recordings with true gigaseals
  • Micro-fluidic channels for rapid solution exchange
  • User-friendly touchscreen for easy experiment execution
  • Unattended operation for several hours
  • Automated data analysis, with highly sophisticated analysis tool

QPatch HTX can run just like the well-known QPatch HT with a single patched cell per measurement site in addition to the novel multi-hole mode. QPatch HTX does this by being able to run two different consumables: the single-hole QPlate, and the multi-hole QPlate X, because it is equipped with 48 individual amplifiers specifically designed to allow experiments from multiple as well as single cells. Multi-hole experiments improve success rates significantly as compared to single-hole experiments, because it measures the total current from multiple cells at a time. This means that low- and non-expressors often found in e.g. transient expression systems are no longer a problem. It also means that small endogenous ion channel currents can now be examined easily.
