North Brunswick, NJ (September, 1 2005)
Sophion Bioscience, Inc. (New Jersey, USA) today moved into the Technology Centre of New Jersey. All of Sophion Inc.’s service & support, assay development, sales & marketing and demonstration related activities for North America will emanate from this facility. Sophion Bioscience’s main focus is the QPatch 16-channel automated patch clamp system. A number of QPatch systems have already been installed in the US, in addition to systems in Japan and Europe.
“Sophion Inc. is really enthusiastic about the opportunity to service our existing and future customers from this new location in New Jersey,” says Chris Mathes, Ph.D., Sophion’s Vice-President and General Manager for North America. “Several of our existing and soon-to-be customers are within 30 minutes or less from this facility. This proximity to New Jersey’s Big Pharma and BioTech should allow us to be at the top of our field”. The facility is also a short distance to the Newark Liberty airport, which connects Sophion Inc. to customers and future customers throughout North America.
“We are excited to have Sophion Bioscience, Inc. join our campus at the New Jersey Technology Centre,” says Don Shatinsky, Program Manager. “Sophion is conducting tech business that ideally fits into the environment of the Centre.”
Sophion Bioscience is preparing for a busy conference season. The next scheduled event includes an exhibition and presentations at the 11th Annual Conference of the Society of Biomolecular Screening. Please refer to the company web site below for further details (www.sophion.com).
