Sophion Bioscience, headquartered near Copenhagen, Denmark, has the sole focus of providing advanced products and integrated solutions for automated patch clamping. We develop patch clamp solutions for functional characterization of living cells. Our products are used in pharmaceutical and biotech companies around the world.
QPatch 16, QPatch HT and QPatch HTX
The QPatch 16, QPatch HT and now also our latest product QPatch HTX are microchip-based automated patch clamp systems that provide high-quality data on a truly industrial basis. The QPatch 16 is a 16-channel automated patch clamp system. It is the first system in its class with integrated cell preparation and QPlate exchange facilities enabling several hours of unattended operation. The QPatch HT is the world’s first 48-channel automated gigaseal patch clamp system building on the well-proven QPatch 16 technology. The QPatch HTX is a further development of the QPatch HT concept, but with significantly decreased price per data point and higher throughput.

Sophion Bioscience was founded in July 2000, emerging from a successful research and development program at NeuroSearch. The headquarters are located in the vicinity of Copenhagen, Denmark. All of Sophion’s sales and support activities for North America emanates from our facility in North Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
