Cav2.2
Voltage dependent N-type calcium channel
(Alternative nomenclature: CACNA1B, α1B)
Cav2.2 composed of 4 homologous 6-TM repeats, a highly conserved pore loop, and a distinctive voltage sensor.
Localization:
Neurons (presynaptic)

QPatch recordings of Cav2.2 whole-cell currents:

QPatch whole-cell Cav2.2 currents in response to 50 ms depolarizations at 0 mV executed 5 times with an interval of 50 ms. The holding potential was -110 mV. The current sweeps are shown in the absence (saline) and presence of increasing concentrations of compound A.

Peak current from first depolarising pulse plotted as a function of the compound concentration. Data is fitted to a Hill fit.
